Eva & der Schiffscontainer
Der rote oder der hellblaue Schiffscontainer? Eva konnte sich nicht entscheiden, so kamen wir ins Gespräch im Borckenhaus in Kleinbasel. Sie kommt aus einer Künstlerfamilie und ist im Appenzell in der Ostschweiz aufgewachsen, wo sie ihre Ausbildung zur Primarlehrerin absolvierte. Ihre zweite Ausbildung in Soziokultureller Animation hat sie in Luzern abgeschlossen. Zurzeit wohnt sie in Basel und arbeitet selbständig im soziokulturellen Bereich. Gemeinsam mit ihrem Freund eröffnen sie bald die "Oettlinger Buvette" am Rheinufer für diese haben sie auch einen Schiffscontainer gekauft, dort war der Entscheid schneller gefallen!
Eva & the shipcontainer
The red or the blue shipcontainer? Eva could not made a decision wich one, so we came in a conversation at the thrift store in Kleinbasel.
She comes from an artistic family and grow up in the Appenzell in the east part of Switzerland, there she complete her formation as a teacher for children. Her second formation she did in sociocultural Animation in Luzern.
Now she lives and works independant for the sociocultural Animation in Basel. Together with her boyfriend they will opening soon a bar called "Oettlinger Buvette" near the riverside Rhein and for this bar they also using this kind of shipcontainer, the decision was in this case very fast!
Die Jazz Sängerin
Youn Sun Nah, die koreanische Jazz Sängerin mit ihrer aussergewöhnlichen Stimme war mir letzte Woche so "nah"! Nach ihrem beeindruckenden und inspirierenden Konzert im Neumünster in Zürich hatte ich das Glück ihr zu begegnen!
Wir haben uns nachdem Konzert im Foyer getroffen, als ich ihr neues CD-Album "Same Girl" kaufte und dieses von ihr und Ulf, der Gitarist, signieren liess. Wir kamen kurz ins Gespräch über die Musik und ich durfte sogar von ihr und Ulf ein Foto machen, ohne Blitz, dieses ist leider diffus geworden und nicht hier zu sehen.
Ich lernte Nah in diesem unvergesslichen Moment als eine wunderbare, sehr dankbare und wertvolle Künstlerin kennen mit einer Prise Humor! Nah ist wahrhaftig eine Ausnahmeerscheinung, ihre Stimme ist sie einzigartig, fast ausserirdisch schön.
The Jazz Singer
The korean Jazz Singer Youn Sun Nah with her remarkable voice was last week so close to me! After her impressive, so magnificent and inspired concert at the Neumünster in Zürich I had the chance to meet her! When I bought the new cd album "Same Girl" after the concert in the foyer and designated from her and Ulf, the Guitar Player, we had a short conversation about music.
I could also taken some pictures of her and him, but this photo was taken without flash, so it is a kind of cloudy and not posted.
I get to know her as an wonderful, a deeply gratful and a precious person with humor in this unforgettable moment! Nah is truly an exceptional appearance, her voice is unique, almost beautiful spherical. Merci beaucoup Nah for this chance encounter!

Was inspiriert Janine in ihrer Arbeit? Menschen, Märchen, Inszenierungen, Erzählungen, Sagen, Hörbücher und vorallem ihre Familie. Die Foto Ausstellung von 250 Bewerbern ist noch bis 13. April in der F+F Schule für Kunst und Mediendesign in Zürich zu sehen.

On the forest ground a little girl is cowering beside a basket. She is holding a freckle in her hands and why for, we are asking, maby the "Little Red-Cap" would like to implant this little plant into the earth or even she pull-it out? And where is the bad wolf? With "Girl in the Forest" Janine Rickenmann shows us an photography with both sides, wich became merited the 2nd prize of the competition "FAMILY & THE FAMILIAR" 5th annual Westphoto Photography Prize from the Westminster University in London.
What is her inspiration for her work? Peopel, fairytales, scene stills, novellas, storys,
audio books and the most of all inspirations gives her family. The exhibition with 250
candidates will be shown until the 13th of April at the School F+F for Art and Media Design in Zürich.
Die Installations Künstlerin
Carol May debüttiert vom 1. bis 29. April mit dem Ausstellungszyklus "The human INVASION im Raum des "espace libre" im Centre Pasquart d'art Bienne am Fusse des Juragebirges in Biel.
1500 Ballone gefüllt mit Wasser und Luft breiten sich im Raum aus. Die Installation zeigt eine Invasion des Menschen der Spuren hinterlässt, sich ausbreitet, besetzt, zerstört, mittels Ballone. Die Plazenta ähnelnden Ballone versinnbildlichen die Entstehung der Natur, lassen sich zwar bewegen, können aber beim feinsten Stoss zerplatzen! Carol ist freischaffende Künstlerin im Jahre 2008 hat sie das Studium von 3 Semestern an der Hochschule für bildende Künste in Dresden abgeschlossen. Wo findet sie ihre Insprationen und Ideen für ihre Arbeit? In aktuellen gesellschaftlichen & politischen Themen, unverhoffte Momente, Begegenungen mit Künstlern und die besten Ideen kommen ihr meistens mitten in der Nacht!
The installation Artist
From the debut of the first by the 29th of April you can see the installation "The human INVASION" by Carol May in the exhibition room "espace libre" at the Centre Pasquart d'art Bienne at the foot of the bally Jura in Biel. 1500 ballons filled up with water and air are dispersing the whole room. The installation shows an invasion from humans who leaving marks, dispering, occupying, destroying, by using the ballons. The ballons symbolize a similar look of a placenta, they can move and at the same time with a little hit the can be destroyed! Carol is an independent artist. In the year of 2008 she terminated her studies
at the High School of Art in Dresden. Where she does found her inspirations and ideas for her work? In social and political themes, unexpected moments, meetings with other artists and the best ideas she gets in the middle of the night!
